Vanishing Point

I'm on the longest pier in the world, at Southend-on-Sea. It's cold, the wind is howling and my ears are like blocks of ice. My biggest worry is that my flat cap is going to go for a Burton.

I know from past experience that there's a half mile marker somewhere along here but I haven't found it yet. Let's hope there's decent coffee at the end. Wherever the end is.
