Cruise Ship Visit

From what I hear cruise ships were once a common occurrence in our beautiful bay, these past years not so much. The M/S Amedea, the first of this tourist season, stopped by for a short visit today. According to a really cool website that plots the current position of cruise ships, it is on a 27 day voyage from Acapulco to Aukland, which is part of a larger 134 day around the world trip, starting in Nice and ending in Venice. I'm not certain how much the 600 passengers got to see of our lovely city because the ship pulled out shortly after noon, avoiding small boats in the bay as it left for its next scheduled stop in the Marquess Islands. We will see if the rumored six cruise ships materialize in the coming months.
