Impression: Sunrise on the Yangtze
You never know what adventures those Crittergators will get into next. Whether checking out the wonders of ancient Egypt, chasing dragons, or battling Bugzilla, they can always be counted on to keep themselves (and us) entertained.
This particular morning found them on a slow boat to China. One hard-working oarsman is maintaining direction and speed, while the other three admire an amazing sunrise on the water. Where to next?!!?
The soundtrack: John Denver, with Shanghai Breezes.
P.S. Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you: the backdrop is Monet's famous painting, Impression: Sunrise, which gave birth to the Impressionist movement. Louis Leroy, a critic of the movement, is quoted as saying of this painting, "Wallpaper in its embryonic state is more finished than that seascape." Ah, but I adore it. Is there anything more lovely than an Impressionist view of sunrise? (See my own take on an Impressionist sunrise, using window condensation art, here.)
