Promise of things to Come

Some time for reflection so I looked up puddle when I saw this picture. It said "puddle is a small accumulation of liquid, usually water, on a surface. It can form either by pooling in a depression on the surface, or by surface tension upon a flat surface. Puddles are usually formed from rain water or from irrigation".

Not sure then that this exactly matches what my drive looks like this afternoon. A muddy, coagulated, gloopy, dark mess is what greeted me. At least this reflection in the dirty water holds some promise of the things yet to come, dry weather, a little blue sky and light nights.

January is rolling on by-it won't be long.
