Careful drilling needed!!...........
Hi Everyone,
I have been having trouble with my PC so have been unable to blip for a couple of nights, am still sorting it out. I am having to use another internet explorer.
Sorry I have not been able to comment on your blips.
Anyway with reference to my blip on the 15th Re glass vases, I have now drilled both of the blue vases this afternoon. Took some time but got there in the end.
You can see this shot with the actual drill working and it leaving the swarf of the drilled glass around the drill bit.
You may remember I had a clear glass vase as well on which I commenced drilling first. Put the drill bit in to my new electric drill and commenced the drilling. It was difficult to control the speed of the bit on the glass. I was about half way through when it suddenly went through making a somewhat larger jagged hole on the vase. I WAS NOT AMUSED!! Oh well, change of tactic needed.
Put the bit in my battery powered drill which I could control the speed much more accurately, and completed the job on the two blue vases. Clear glass one destined for the recycling bin!! Lol
Now I have finished the drilling, I will now make a base for each in which I will counter sink the vase. This is to protect any table the lamp will be put on. Then I will proceed with the lamp fitting. I will blip them as I go along.
Hope this is of interest to you all.
Take care.
