The Garage
We went round to the Mother-in-law's today, to do a bit of work for her. Mrs Mikey went into the house and did a bit of hoovering and as much clearing up as she was allowed to do. I wanted to do some work in the garden, but it was raining, so I volunteered to do a bit of tidying up in the garage.
As you can see from the blip, it was a daunting task. However, once I'd broken down some of the cardboard boxes, and put a range of plastic bags into one bag and cleared some cables, there was enough space to walk into the garage and not trip over anything.
The big problem is that she won't throw anything away. I asked her if there was anything in the garage that she knew she was attached to and her response was, "I'll have to come in and have a look." Which, roughly translated, means, "you aren't throwing anything away."
At about twelve o'clock, we called it a day and took her out to the local garden centre where she treated us to lunch - some very tasty soup with a roll. We'll just have to keep working on getting stuff thrown away.
