Fat Tire

Hopefully you can see here that the tires of these bikes are quite fat. Fat Tire biking has become a popular sport here in Minnesota during the winter. There was a fat tire bike race in Excelsior today. They rode on the lake, on trails through an island and through the streets. We missed the race but stopped by later to see the bikes. With the tires being fat and having lower air pressure they have traction to ride in the snow. Looking at the people that ride these bikes, you need to be in really good shape!

We woke up to about 5 inches of new snow today. Made everything look bright and clean.
