Conventions

In Milwaukee for the day at Midwinter Gaming. It was good to see the folks from the Milcog gamers but also weird to a room of boardgamers in the midst of a much bigger (mostly LARP) convention.

Played a few games but finished up with the older Vegas Showdown- casino building (part auction, part Tetris). It's a good game but the maps each player builds on are oddly Spartan. This picture was pretty much a throw away shot to help me remember what I'd played but it's the nicest shot from the whole day as it captures both the game and an wider view of the day (for reference I was anticipating the picture of the day was going to be two cosplay orcs from LotR playing a giant Jenga set using their swords - but the picture was rushed, poor, and to be honest the word picture works as well for that ).
