Gum Blossom

I am still practising macro shots. This is the blossom from a eucalyptus tree. Normally I don't even notice them flowering as they are subtle to say the least. Not sure whether it is my heightened awareness since joining blip, or that they are just more prolific this year, but they seem to be covered in flowers at present.
I am also playing with a demo version of Nik Color Efex Pro, so to break the monotony of the third macro in a row, I have applied the solarization filter. It doesn't much resemble the original plant, but looks quite dramatic, especially in LARGE.
