What a welcome???

Saw this very uninspiring mat on my way up to a friend's house and wondered who would put such a thing in front of their house??

Do you want visitors or not? Couldn't figure it out and did NOT like it, I don't even find it mildly amusing BUT had to get a picture.

This just would not work in the front of a Pakistani/Australian home!!! Pls feel free to come any time, again and again.
