still standing

After some sad news from a good friend along way away this morning, we all felt the need to get some air and spend family time to reflect on what is important in our lives. so we set off to the beach on the bikes, and had a cobweb clearing walk along the beach.
The tide was out and the legs of the pier exposed, revealing the different strata of life that clings to these poles.
