Las Palmas
Las Palmas is a very busy port, credit crunch or not. You almost have to beg the Port Authorities for a berth. Finally the authorities found a very nice place for us, straight behind the car-carrier Procyon Leader. She was discharging around one thousand used and damaged cars. What they are gonna do with it here? I don't know, presumably fix them and sell them to African countries. We left port around nine at night, just about the same time the Procyon Leader took up her ramp and prepared for departure as well
