Rainbow over Redhills.

After our usual Sunday morning clickychick out and about taking photos me in bed we needed to go to the Lodge. There had been nobody in for a couple of weeks and common sense let alone the insurance policy means we check it occasionally.

In case I got nothing better I took a few shots of a little game, but as things turned out it can produce a blip another day. The weather had been good but soon after we arrived it started to rain. It was still raining as we set off home but as we drove uphill along the A66 the sun came out and I saw a strong rainbow in the rear view mirror.

This caused a detour to park on the road behind Rheged where I had a great view of the Rainbow. Unfortunately I had a great view of a parked white can as well. This meant I had to reject many of my shots because the eye was drawn to the white blob! In some it did look as if the rainbow ended at the van.

Finally I decided on this one.
