After eventually relenting and continuing transferring data from this into a spreadsheet for this year I've been relaxed and sensible enough to not bother about operating under the misapprehension of the same vague target, mostly due to the often complete unworkability of getting out and about at weekends with two weansters about. I may yet attempt to modify the counter to only bother with commute-days. It's interesting/useful to be able to record exactly how many miles a tyre or chain or cassette lasts as much as keeping records for records' sakes.
