Marriage

"He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favour from the Lord." Proverbs 18:22

So this is a picture of a photograph taken at our wedding. This was over fourteen years ago now, so we were quite young. We had a talk today at Church about "Resurrecting Marriage" which was good. I have been thinking recently about our wedding day, wondering if I love my husband as much as I did on the day we got married, the answer is no, I love him more now. Over the years we have grown together, it has not always been easy, but ultimately our experiences have brought us closer together. I have always been hopeful that we will get to 60 years of marriage, this would be an amazing thing. I am sure that the only thing that would prevent this would be if one of us died before we got there, but as we married young, chances are we will get there.

There are so many Bible verses about marriage, but I chose this one as I think it is very positive. I hope James agrees that when he found me, he found what is good!!! I have also realised today that I am much more relaxed now I know I am moving jobs, and I remember why we moved to Somerset, to have fun, to be relaxed and grow closer as a couple and as a family. I am looking forward to this year...
