Daytona Motorsport sponsor a series of karting championships and today was a pre-season taster at Sandown Park, Surrey - about a two hour drive from home.

Andy raced in the DMAX Endurance series last season and decided give the Sprint event a go today. Three qualifying rounds of 8 laps decided the grid positions for the 12 lap final. Andy started and finished in second place so a really successful day which has probably helped make his mind up to compete in the Sprint format this season.

This shot sees him in number 129 fighting to keep the kart from spinning on the wet track while getting into position to undertake a rival competitor.
