Stick in the mud
The sun does not always shine in Scotland. On the salt marshes at Nairn Beach, the old piles from salmon fishing stations were standing proud. It was dull and overcast, but a very muted sun lighted the scene through the clouds for a couple of minutes, just sufficient to heighten the contrast and provide a touch of colour to a mostly monochromatic picture.
