First show in harness...

Miss B convinced me that Missy was ready to go to a show in harness, even if it was just for experience ... so go they did! Missy and Miss B's first classes in harness together where it really counts. Missy performed like a trouper, the judge was impressed with how she went, and after finding out (at the end of the competition) that Missy was only young (she's 3) and that Miss B had broken her in herself, was even more impressed!
They got a total of 3 firsts a second and a reserve champ.... and yes I will say that there was very little competition - no one in three of the classes, and one person in one class... she finished second in that class BUT as an exercise in getting used to showing, and being away from home in harness - it was PRICELESS.... even more priceless to see miss B driving her around the area warming her up, with reins in one hand and can of coke in the other guiding her pretty much by voice commands.
Mr Tobi... he came 2nd of three, and reserve champ youngstock colt - YAH Tobi! Rosie 1st and champion roadster, 2nd and res champ trail - beaten only by Missy who got first and Champion Trail.
First and Champion Trail means A LOT as its Novice (not youth) so against the adults, and there were 8 competitors in the class.
All in all a good weekend's showing.
