OINK, OINK!
OUCH!
Little Miss Piggy here just can’t get enough suet! You’d think this gal was starving the way she went after the new suet block – pressing so hard against the basket wire just might loosen a couple front teeth! Earlier this winter, a block of suet would last a couple weeks when only the birds were nibbling away at it. But then this squirrel found out it tasted good, so now a block only lasts about three days. I’d left the suet basket empty a few days because that’s really too much fat for an animal to eat – and this squirrel is definitely f-a-t, but the birds kept checking for more and they need it – especially during the winter. That’s her poor little nose you see all smushed up against the suet.
We spent the afternoon at my mother’s apartment while my husband lowered her closet rods and also some shelves in the kitchen. At 105, she has lost quite a bit of height, and stretching for these things is quite a fall risk - just one of the perils of getting old! I’m so fortunate that my mother and husband are close – he’s happy to do anything for her, especially things to help her stay safe and comfortable.
