Lasithi Plain

The last day of our car hire allowed us to explore the Lasithi Plateau, a very flat, fertile plain some 3000 feet up in central Crete. As well as being able to see something more like a real rural Cretan lifestyle, there are also many caves to explore, including the Diktos Cave, held in legend as the birthplace of Zeus.
