Chinook

3rd time lucky I hope. Time issues once again with the camera. So again it is Mr G' s shots I am using.

Today we went to sundre , a small town roughly an hour and half drive north of Calgary. Warily on it was -14 so we took extra layers and ski pants. By mid day it was +10. Late afternoon we went for a walk and was treated to this chinook cloud. It is a layer of cloud in an arch shape. How do you explain a chinook - there is roughly 4 foot of snow on the ground and massive snow piles and this warm wind that feels as if some one is using a hair dryer.

Later in the evening we were treated to a local amateur dramatic production of 'the fox on the fairway'. It was written in the style of Alan Aykbourne. Excellently performed and hilariously funny.
