Life on the Mothership!

Has flown in to repair/fit my son's and other's very specialist top of the range dynamic wheelchair(s). He was a lovely, capable man. This wheelchair cost £10,500 plus and the right rear wheel kept falling off. Now if I bought a 10 and a half grand car and the wheel fell off or if I bought a ten and a half grand settee (if there is such a thing) and the arm fell off you would at least expect an over the top apology, possibly even a replacement but no it just got fixed with a mumbled sorry. Now because this is the only wheelchair that has got anywhere near meeting my son's complex movement needs it appears I just have to accept it and move on. Pretty carp really. I won't get started on the power base we need so son can do all the things like go to see horse, walk in countryside which he can no longer do as he is too big for the outdoor chair we had. New power base will cost about £10,500 too. Anyone know any good funders who would cut out the need for me to write endless begging letters and application forms and cow tow to Mrs Cannybody who can't understand why I'm getting really fed up of the whole process and can't she just write her charity's cheque without the need for me to endlessly update her on progress. I know she means well but how many hoops do I have to jump through for my son to just go outside for a walk?? ?
