Young swan

Is there anything better than walking the dog on a frosty morning? The cold air in your lungs, the ground frozen instead of muddy. Maybe dozing in the shade on a hot, sunny day would compete right now but I'll happily take mornings like this.

I don't have a great camera, or the skills to go with one, but I'm quite happy with this snap of a young swan. We eyed each other for a while, neither one getting too worried about the other, until the dog decided I wasn't paying her enough attention and so we said goodbye.
