Still
On a blue pillow,
She spreads her golden tresses,
As slumber takes her.
And all who pass by,
Can't help but cease their rushing,
Still, the long moment.
There is a spot, at the top of the Ashdown forest, where the view is unbroken, over the forest to the Downs in the distance. Always breathtaking, but especially so at sunset. I happened to be there at that time.
There are parking places along the top, and people passing tend to pull in and just admire the spectacle for a while before going on their way. Dog walkers stand for a moment and look.
"Mindfulness" is a bit of an "in" word, but really all you need is to be open to the beauty around you and take time to let it take you.
I think blippers know this.
