Birthday SP
This is the traditional, annual, Birthday* SP**
Using the "view last/next year's picture" buttons on the webpage, (very quickly) you will be able to view a stop-motion animation of a face getting all old and decrepit. And then young*** again. And then old again. The fun will go on and on.
Been running around doing stuff. It's been nice and sunny so I was out and about in the sportster round the country lanes. I slowed down as I passed a middle-aged pedestrian but, with a big smile and some waving-on gestures, he encouraged me to put my foot down and so I did. The car is a little, err, noisy when pushed and, when I looked in the mirror, he had a huge grin. And so did I.****
*OK, so is the first time I've done it but it can be a new tradition, right?
**Actually, I was playing with the technique of using a black and white image as a mask to get a portrait made out of another picture of a tree. It was OK but this taken-very-quickly picture was better than the finished product.
*** Well young-ish. I've only just started this so today's shot is as young as it'll get.
**** People often tell me that the car must be a highly effective "babe magnet". It really isn't but, if you need a lot of middle-aged men - maybe to conduct experiments on ear hair - then this is the car for you.
Oh, and I accidentally bought a new old camera. DON'T tell C! (Hopefully she hasn't read this far down. But, come on, it was £27. How could I resist it?)
