Looking east from the top of Muizenberg Peak

Strenuous hike today - but all went well till the precipitous descent between this summit and Lower Steenberg Peak, and even that was OK till we were within 200 metres of the end ... but then I tripped, over-corrected, smashed back down into the proteas, and was trapped there by my rucksack, now firmly wedged between two rocks. Only superficial injuries, a little blood, nice big bruise coming up on my left knee, but my pride really suffers. Never again can I mock other other old toppies who tumble into the veld and can't be pulled to their feet. Such humiliation.
