BACK STOEP

This is our cool summer stoep. We spend a lot of time here chatting to friends over a cup of tea or perhaps a glass of wine in the early evening. It is a good place to have an afternoon siesta too.The sound of running water in the nearby water furrow drowns out all incidental noises.
The malachite sunbirds are visiting the red bignonia creeper at the moment and hang onto the flowers while they suck the nectar. Maybe I should take time out with my camera and try to get a picture.
