Edit Thu 22nd: The old iphone is a useful wee snapper but the keyboard is difficult to use for commenting, and the screen size does no justice to any image.
Sollergirl's comments about Estuary English are classic....I find this form of spoken english harsh on the ear but understandble.
The Smoke, for anyone outisde the UK, is a phrase for any large city but most often used to refer to London.
