Red Leaf

I had forgotten about this shot, I found this leaf out walking my dogs the front looked like any slightly red fall leaf pretty boring as fall goes, until I turned it over and found this amazing shot on the back. The color and detail where just beautiful. I tried doing it justice with my camera both my own and the heavy duty macro cameras I had access to at work, but it fell short until I decided to use a non conventional means of capture.
I used my Epson V700 flat bed scanner set to 9600 dpi to capture it in all its glory. I am still amazed at what Mother Nature produces. Enjoy
