Blue Monday

Today is supposedly the most depressing day of the year - it certainly didn't feel like it to me.

This shot is of my kitchen clock, shot under flourescent lights but on tungsten white balance to give a blue cast, then selectively desaturated the rest of the face, increased vibrance on the area around the day and date, then applied the vintage saturation filter in Colour Efex.
