How a Jedi boils water

ANGRY JEDI and SHORT JEDI must quickly boil enough water to make tea for the entire GALACTIC SENATE, before talks break down and the galaxy disintegrates into brutal civil war!

So yeah, this shot was kinda complicated. It is a composite of three separate images.

Image 1: Cold water, Jedi stuck to the back with a small amount of tape. Lit with a single, direct flash set to wide angle.

Image 2: As 1, but with a green gel applied to the flash. This gives the lightsabers their glow.

Image 3: Jedi VERY CAREFULLY removed so as not to move the pan. Water boiled, sans Jedi. Lit from the extreme left hand side and slightly back to illuminate the steam.

The three images were then combined in photoshop to produce the finished image. I am both pleased and relieved that the three images matched up precisely!
