Me and my shadow

As it was such a nice morning we decided to go for a walk. There was no real plan; just a let's head for the canal and see what we can see. We went to Haymarket and then through the NCP carpark towards the Western Approach Road, before reaching the canal. These bikes are on Melvin way and I liked the shadows caused by the still low sun. It is noticeable how the light changes quite rapidly at this time of the year. At the solstice, the sun just touches the back wall of the garden at midday, now, a month later, there is sun half way down the wall at 2pm. Spring is coming before we have had any real winter :( We had a good walk along the canal near Fountainbridge, reading the history of the area on the hordings by the canal. Plenty of blip scope round here :)
