Night shot

My potato masher has disappeared. It was a particularly inappropriate day for it to scarper as I had 3lbs of potatoes to mash for two big cottage pies for my GP partners meeting at my house tonight Grrr! I had a potato ricer ( in pristine condition) but as it only 'rices' one bit of potato at a time I was less picky about the topping for the second (vegetarian) cottage pie. It had goats cheese in it anyway so who would notice the odd lump or two. Pudding , far from being the 'whisky and pannetone bread and butter pudding' turned into a rushed pineapple upside down tray bake - which fortunately in my rush I put too much golden syrup in the bottom so it was unhealthily delicious.
After all the aguments discussions were concluded I sat in front of the fire with a soothing glass of wine until 23.30 when I realised I had no blip so rushed outside to practise some long exposure night shots.
