Nesting time

The Blackbirds never go away but they do get more active, and very much more noisy, when they start to think about nesting. They started in January last year as well.
I always plan to cut back some of the clematis and ivy growing on our fences in the back garden before they start but they seem to be getting earlier every year and it's one of their favourite places for nesting.
