The Legendary Blackpool Tower, UK

Just a few facts..built in 1894, standing 518 feet high, during it's first 30 years the steel work was never painted, so corroded badly and had to be replaced entirely, the base is hidden inside a large building which stands on the promenade. I only learned today it was constructed so that if it ever DID fall down it would fall towards the sea. As you can imagine a wonderful view for miles from the top, that's if you like to see the city, otherwise there's only the water to see<g>
