A Drop of the Hard Stuff.

This old pub sign is an original in a stamped wooden frame. The company itself was wound-up in 1936. The print image is still sold by pub art print houses but is only a modern print on a metal frame. This one is original. I bought it about 38 years ago sitting in a pub of a Friday afternoon with a colleague whose family had a pub and who had various old signs he wanted to sell.
Come Monday morning he wanted to buy it back from me, thus demonstrating the perils of doing business while drinking.
