There is a lively informal trade culture in South Africa. If you are of a mind to, you could do a large amount of shopping from the comfort of your car seat. Anything from fruit and veggies to newspapers, DVD's, coat hangers, memory sticks, rubbish bags, pictures, hats, perfume, rugby shirts, flags, you name it and they will most likely sell it at a local traffic light or intersection.

This chap is pretty smart as he has positioned himself not far from a local pub and I suspect a lot of his sales are to say sorry to a fuming partner cross because they chose just one more instead of coming home.

I wonder how often the gift of flowers works for repeat offenders?
