Dawn over Arthur's Seat

This was dawn this morning, beautiful shades as the sun rose. The day went downhill rapidly from there! ;-)

Actually to be fair, not entirely - I did have the unexpected pleasure of meeting my friend Joan for a cuppa at lunchtime as I happened to be in a meeting just round the corner from her office. I hadn't realised I was going to be so close so emailed as I was on my way to the meeting.

It's been another busy day at work, one where very little went according to plan - often the way in this job - with urgent briefings meaning having to run away from a meeting and log on to a computer instead.

I should possibly be going climbing or running tonight but all I want to do is curl up under a blanket and read!
