The Chapel Ceiling :p
For many months the building where the school I work for is located has been undergoing significant renovations. The plumbing has all been updated, the damp has been banished, walls have received fresh coats of paint and now, it seems, all that remains is the entrance hall. The hall is now graced with scaffolding and daily, cm by cm, new paint appears on what I refer to as our own Sistine Chapel ceiling.
Today we had the first really decent snow we've had all winter in Prague. Walking between classes I briefly longed for an office job. This afternoon I enjoyed watching the delight on the faces of some school kids who were busy scooping handfuls of snow off of the cars and throwing it at each other. I do love winter. Although I do get cold sometimes. It wasn't so much fun standing in -2 degrees waiting for the bus this evening. But, on balance, it's a small price to pay for living in such a beautiful city and teaching such a wonderful group of students.
