The Stages of the Mealworm

Charmaine breeds her own mealworms to feed the birds as well as the tropical fishies, especially the cyclids.

In the left of the photo is the mealworm, on the right are 2 pupae, almost ready to open up, and in the middle front is the young beetle emerging from a pupa, and in the background the adult beetle, ready to lay eggs to start the whole process again!
