'Arold the 'Eron.

This afternoon we ventured back along the canal bank for the first time in a long time. A swan was on hand to welcome us back and this heron posed for a little while before sloping off in search of his dinner.
Earlier, we took Isla home to the delight of Euan who really does love his little canine compadre.
Both Euan and Eve were in fine form and I was soon down on hands and knees playing trains (the getting back up again is the big trick!) while Eve toddled about clutching a lovely book given to her by auntie Fifi. Such good fun!
