Hokitika

Not had wifi for a couple of days, but when I get back home I may return to the missing days and add photos. Yesterday we arrived in the wonderful small west coast town of Hokitika. And because of the iffy weather, their beach debris statue competition was delayed (which seems serendipitous). Sara and the girls are so excited about making a statue today. We slept by the beach to the sound of lapping waves, and today we are challenged with making a house for blue penguins out of driftwood and our imaginations. Hopefully that will be tomorrow's photo.

Meanwhile today's photo is the name of the town made out of driftwood which stands before the ocean.

We have two weeks left before our return to a Yorkshire winter, and we're gonna stomp the hell out of those days.
