With mountains like these

UFO landing

It was a wild day. I made the trip to Deia and left there in very high winds that blew me over the top into the Soller valley. All seemed quiet but then the wind shot down into the valley aswell. Surely no football?

Oh yes there is! The boys battled it out valiently and we were grateful for the new stadium roof that seemed a bit too boring to blip last week. Just in time, though it couldn't keep out all the rain which was vertical the wrong way on occassions. I was worried about the new floodlights, watching them wave around up there and hoping they'd screwed them in properly. Papers and leaves were flying everywhere and the boards around the grounds were flapping and banging. Hence the feeling of a UFO landing. The boys looked very vulnerable on the pitch. See blog for full view. It's still very stormy outside.

The great news is that our friends Simon and Sara and children are back from England for a week. I saw them briefly today and will catch up with them at the weekend. Lots to chat into the early hours about and the children are excited to see each other.

The light on the left by the way is a floodlight and the trees were swaying so wildly, they are completely blurred and the mountain is covered in cloud, but the sun just peeked through and made them very red.

Or.... this is just a crappy, blurred shot of a crappy weather
