Shades of Grey
Yet another wet and windy day here in Kintyre and the kind of weather that usually makes me abandon any thoughts of blipping. Not today though. Time to try and capture the essence of what our winter has been like so far.
Drove down to Torrisdale and set up the camera and tripod in the driver's seat of the car, which was no easy task! Then footered about with some filters before opening the window for a few quick shots. It was still pouring and the spray from the breaking waves was being driven inland on the wind. It was a case of closing the window and drying off the lens before going for a few more shots.
Back home I played about with a few images in Lightroom to lighten the foreground and bring out a bit more contrast in the sky. There was simply no point in keeping any colour in the shots as they were already mostly shades of grey!
Quite a contrast with the same scene taken a few weeks ago when the sea was similar but it was bright and sunny!
