Digging the trench...

Thursday, 22nd....This is a backblip!

Here are our 3 WWOOFers, Vincent and Vivien (male!) from France, and Jamie (female!) from Ontario....

We've spent the last 2 days digging this long trench, which had to be about 2' deep to accommodate the large electical wire that will be used to operate the kiln in the pottery studio! It was arduous work, lots of rocks, and hard going in parts, and Terry and I are so grateful and thankful to have the 2 french guys show up on monday....such a joy to have the help, strength and stamina of 23-24 year old males!!! Jamie has been awesome too, she's worked just as hard and is so adorable....

Terry has taken them on a hike to show them some of the beauty around here and to given them a break - i decided i needed to stay home and have some quiet time alone. The trench is complete, the barn is now wired and ready to have the kiln hooked up - but we don't need to do that yet, cos there ain't any pots to be fired - yet!
