Up in Edinburgh

An unexpected day off, with the kids on holiday.

Haircuts in the morning, followed by the lads chasing one another round the Botanic Gardens wielding sticks.

Lunch at Giuliano's, with just time for a spot of larking about in Princes Street Gardens.

Then off to the pictures to see Up in 3D. What an excellent film: spectacular, funny and a bit poignant too. And the guys who wrote it really understand dogs.

Funnily enough, just like the dogs in Up, at the Botanics the kids would freeze then give chase whenever one of them said the word "squirrel".

Yell loudly and carry a BIG stick
