Brave Heart

It was negative 3 degrees this morning. I had to take "someone" to work due to auto failure. Instead of coming back home immediately, I took a round about route to a park with a quaint little lake. It was cold, but I was prepared with several layers from head to toe.
You know how the snow squeaks when it's, 'that cold?' Well, I loved every squeaky step around that frozen tundra, aka; Hiawatha Lake, located in Onondaga Park. Very lovely and memorable this trek proved to be. It made me so happy to be out there. At the same time however, I was very appreciative of my wood stove by the time I got home.
