from Penzance (brought back by N&V when holidaying there years ago).
This story reminded me: We have a saying in Afrikaans " hoe meer haas hoe minder spoed" translated as "the more haste the less speed". As a child I heard this often, but I did not know that "haas" means "haste"; I only knew it as "rabbit". So I thought the saying meant that "the fatter the rabbit the slower it is". Doesn't that make more sense?.
Very frosty & foggy this morning. rest of the day was cold.
Had mixed veg for dinner.
