Whooping & hollering on the bay
Strong Kona winds again today brought out the kitesurfers on the bay. Their whoops and sheer joy at getting lots of air time was contagious and when they really flew, I whooped and hollered back. There is a correct term for being able to stay aloft by kite pull, sorry don't know it. But they were enjoying it. Really difficult to decide on only one foto to publish. I liked that I was able to get two guys aloft at once in this one, along with the third guy for height comparison. They were doing twists and other maneuvers but it was really difficult for me to capture them at opposite ends of the bay and by the time I heard a whoop and found out where it was to point the camera, they'd be back riding the water. Timed another few to be just right on top of a post or distant mountain or just way above the horizon line, but too cutesy . . . . I might try again tomorrow, if the Kona winds stay strong.
