Flowery Finial

With His Lordship off in the dark to drive to the hills near Biggar, with no apparent worries about his carbon footprint, and wearing, it must be noted, his Wednesday smile, I should have invited you in behind The Door, for a wee new year drink.
With Christmas festivities taking up so much of November and December, it is ages since you were all here, and I've missed our little chats.

Instead I went out and got wet. It rained. I'm sure it wasn't meant to rain, but it did and I had to dodge into a café, only to discover when I came out that the sun had appeared, though only long enough for me to get home dry.

Now as I write, the outside is looking rather dismal and rainy again.
It feels good to be inside looking out. HL will be very wet when he returns, but strangely, he seems to thrive on adversity. It must be a man thing.
